Special Notice Week 52 2008

Tag: SPECIAL NOTICERay Pendergast @ 12:14 am

Happy Holidays KangarooMoney fans!

This is yet another short posting BUT after weeks of connection problems, electric problems, end-of-the-year real work problems and the general need for members of the KM Team & KM Partners to just plain sleep, we have found ourselves back up and ready to rock and roll!  How big is this fact?  BIG.  Just not at this exact posting moment.  Sorry about that!  But the Stock Docket for Week 52 2008 is now up and online from the Blogroll, up to date and available to view at your leisure.  Also, should anyone want to see the Stock Docket for Week 50 and / or Week 51, please just drop us a comment or an email and we will see that you get that chance.

The good news is that the team is capable of getting back on line and getting you the information about the United States Economy and the world impact and impacting situations on the economy in general that you have been reading about here for the last 9 months.  *whew*  Good thing not much has happened during that time, eh?  The KM Team and KM Partners have been spinning a great number of plates during the last 4 weeks or so and now we’re glad to be back where we and you want us to be.

2009 promises to be a big year here at KangarooMoney.com.  With our rookie year coming to a close in about 10 days, we think that that our 2nd year in the big leagues will be even better.  Things to look forward to include a revamped Stock Docket that doesn’t show a Mount Everest cliff drop that confuses even the KM Team sometimes; more links to important sites that have serious impacts to what we write about here; we’re excited to find the ability to add pictures to the site as well as the possibilities to add video links as well ( we’re debating this but it appears to be a 2009 fan favorite demand ); calendars for upcoming financial events and some more ambitious projects as well like our White Paper Downloads.  All this as well as the features that you have already come to know and appreciate — the Dictionary, the International Impact Incident, the Market Mover of the Week and our still special brand of writing.  As we said, we’re looking at a big year for 2009 so come along to see how the Sophomore Year goes!

In the meantime, all of us here at KangarooMoney.Com and the KM Partners want to wish our readers from around the world a joyous time of year.  Looking at some of the locations of our readers, we in the office are still amazed by the number of people and countries who log in every week to see what this humble blog has to say.  IT Dan the Man also points out what can only be links to US Service Personnel in war zones around the globe fighting the good fight who also happen to spend a free moment reading what we put out here.  Suffice it to say that we can not thank you enough for spending even a minute of your time with us.  Come home safe and sound please folks.  And keep fighting the good fight, for everyone everywhere.

For our domestic readers, our worldwide readers, our many fans and our many detractors, we wish this Christmas - Hanukkah - Boxing Day - Kwanzaa - Winter Solstice season to be the very best and brightest that you have ever had.  A beautiful New Year is coming to us and 2009 holds great promise for one and all.  And, if we have missed YOUR particular holiday during this end of December 2008, we trust that it will special and fulfilling for you as well.

We will be around this week with more postings, more updates, more news and a special look back at what KangarooMoney.Com has told you about this year 2008.  The office promises to have eggnog, cookies, typing galore and enough roundtable discussions to raise King Arthur from where ever he might be.  In the meantime, be safe, happy and restful little Joeys…tax season here is only a few weeks away!

American Remembrance December 7th, 2008

Tag: SPECIAL NOTICERay Pendergast @ 11:36 am

“Mr. Vice President, Mr. Speaker, members of the Senate, and the House of Representatives; yesterday, December 7th, 1941 — a date which will live in infamy — the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.”

So begins President Roosevelts’ speech concerning the attack on the US naval forces stationed at the Pearl Harbor Hawaii naval bases.  While the attack was as secret and deliberate as it could be at that pre-satellite, pre-computer, pre-cellphone, pre-internet age, it was not entirely unplanned for by the USoA as history has revealed.  But it was a devastating and horrific attack that shook this country and indeed the whole world to its core.

The attack did not start World War II as Europe had been battling and fighting since at least 1938 and some battles had occurred even sooner in that area.  In the Far East, the full scale invasion of China had started in 1937 with smaller battles and skirmishes taking place earlier than that.  The mighty USoA was late to the war but had been a willing participant for years before the most fateful collective memory prior to 9/11 ever took place.

On this day, the 67th anniversary of an attack that left 2,402 dead and 1,282 wounded on that sunny and bright Sunday morning, all Americans should hold dear the memories of those men and women lost that day.

Special Notice Week 50 2008

Tag: SPECIAL NOTICERay Pendergast @ 10:25 am

The Kangaroo Money Team and the Kangaroo Money Partners have suffered a nearly week long outage of their cable / internet supplier, which of course has prevented us from posting any information for that time.  This has been, shall we say, unfortunate?, at the least.

The KM Team missed telling you that the Big 3 Automakers should not take their planes but take their prototype vehicles — which they did by the way and good for them for a better thought out plan.  The KM Team missed telling you that — again — that unemployment would be up and is only going higher, which it did and is.  And the KM Team missed telling you that Christmas 2009 will resemble Christmas 2008 a great deal — like we have told you before.

Does that mean that the KM Team won’t tell you these things?  No, it just means it looks like hindsight instead of foresight.  *sigh*  Perhaps one of those great big public work programs that is supposed to be coming in the start of 2009 will be a revamping of the electrical supply system in this country?  Perhaps the KM Team and KM Partners will have something to say about this?  Perhaps.

As it stands today, KangarooMoney.Com is preparing the Week 50 2008 posting.  The KM Team is also working on new features for the coming 2009 year that we think you will enjoy.  And, in an ongoing effort, the KM Partners are leading the way to update the previous postings to show you all where we are today after a long 2008 Meltdown.  Interesting and difficult efforts that we hope you enjoy…providing our provider can provide.

Have a great day.  The KM Team and KM Partners.
